​There is a unique rhythm to the landscapes of one’s youth. For Prudencio Lamarroza, the Amburayan River has long been more than a geographic landmark it is a recurring pulse in his work, a flow of memory and light that defines his prismatic vision.

​A recent quick visit to his hometown offered a rare moment of reconnection with these roots. Stepping back into the atmosphere of Amburayan allows the artist to see the familiar with fresh eyes—witnessing the interplay of shadow and color that first sparked his journey decades ago. This brief homecoming, followed by a serene side trip to the coastal vistas of Pangasinan, serves as a vital recalibration. Even a short breath of provincial air brings a renewed depth to the canvas, reminding us that to move forward into the "Prismatic," one must occasionally return to the source.
